観戦記者やマスコミの取材が入っていたなら、サービスであり、配慮であろうが、両対局者しかいない状況なら、結論を正直に伝えても何の得にもならない。
若さ故に素直過ぎるというか、馬鹿正直過ぎるというか……。
勝負に辛く、ドライなタイプの奨励会員だったなら、対局者のどちらかに恩義でもない限り、恐らく詰み筋は明かさないだろうと思う。

これが詰将棋なら、相当な筋悪。ただ、故塚田正夫九段はこのような無筋の詰みが好きだった。
昨年亡くなった詰将棋作家の桑原辰雄氏も、どちらかというとこのような詰み筋が好きで得意としていた印象がある。

　元アマ竜王・アマ王将である瀬川さんの６組抜けを祈念しています。アマ強豪の方々も期待していると思いますよ。　よろしくご奮闘願います。

自玉が詰まないことと、相手玉を詰ますこと。詰ます方が格好よくみえるかもしれませんが、自玉が詰まないことを何度も何度も嫌になるくらい読み返されたというのも、大事だなあと思いました。人生においては華麗に攻め勝つことより、耐え忍んで負けないことの積み重ねが多いように思います。そうやって強くなっていくんだよなあ、と。
