第３３期棋王戦のタイトル戦が行なわれている裏で、第３４期の予選が始まっている。
第３４期棋王戦の予選のトーナメント表はこちらです。
２１日に行なわれた、先崎八段ｖｓ瀬川四段の対局。
結果は、瀬川四段の勝ち。

知名度の高い二人の対局とあって、注目を集めていたのではないだろうか。
元Ａ級棋士の先崎八段に勝利したことは、瀬川四段にとって自信になるだろう。
フリークラス脱出に向けて、白星を重ねてもらいたいものである。
